The English Football League One known as Sky Bet League One for sponsorship reasons is the third tier in the English football league system. There are 24 teams competing in the league. At the end of the season, the top two teams are promoted to the Championship, and the teams that finish the season in 3rd to 6th place enter a playoff tournament, with the winner also gaining promotion. The bottom four teams are relegated to League Two. Wycombe Wanderers, Rotherham United and Sheffield Wednesday are the new teams relegated from the Championship. Cheltenham Town, Cambridge United, Bolton Wanderers and Morecambe are the new promoted teams from League Two.
