The multi-purpose Aramco Stadium will be a new-build facility, with a capacity of more than 45,000. On the shore of the Arabian Gulf, the stadium’s architecture celebrates the seaʼs dynamic nature and its profound influence on the local community. Its whirlpool-shaped design (a reference to the Dawwama that occurs just off the coastline during summer months) mimics overlapping sails and draws on graceful, natural wave motifs, to blend seamlessly with the coastal landscape. In addition to the FIFA World Cup 2034™, it will be used for the AFC Asian Cup in 2027. Aramco Stadium will be located in the north of Al Khobar, close to the Corniche, prioritizing proximity to public transportation, bike paths, and pedestrian walkways. This will help to ensure its role as a focal point in the community for many years to come, a cultural hub as much as a sports venue.
After the FIFA World Cup 2034â„¢, the stadium will be home to a professional football club. The site will also include training facilities, and commercial and retail spaces. Its strategic location and distinctive design will make it an iconic landmark, visible from vantage points across the city.
