Serie A (Serie A TIM due to sponsorship) is a professional league competition for football clubs located at the top of the Italian football league system and the winner is awarded the Scudetto and the Coppa Campioni d’Italia. Serie A is regarded as one of the best football leagues in the world and it is often depicted as the most tactical and defensively sound national league. There are 20 teams competing in the league. Top 4 sides qualify for the Champions League, 5th placed for Europa League and 6th place for Conference League. Bottom three teams are relegated to Serie B. Juventus are the nine-time defending champions. Benevento, Crotone and Spezia are the new promoted teams, with Spezia becoming the 68th team to participate in the Italian top level league.
