The Ekstraklasa, named PKO Ekstraklasa due to its sponsorship by PKO Bank Polski, is the top Polish professional league for men’s association football teams. Contested by 16 clubs, operating a system of promotion and relegation with the I liga. Teams play a total of 30 games each. The winner qualify for the Champions League and 2nd and 3rd placed teams for Conference League. The bottom placed team will be relegated to I liga. Górnik Zabrze, Legia Warsaw and Wisła Kraków are the most successful teams having won the title 14 times each. Legia Warsaw are the defending champions.
