The Amahoro National Stadium opened in 1986 and is the largest stadium in Rwanda. Located in Kigali it is the multi-purpose venue and is also the home of Rwanda national football team. The renovation of the stadium started in 2022. The stadium will be expanded to 45,000, the roof will cover all the stands and the stadium will retain the athletics track and oval shape. The construction cost of the project is 170 million dollars.
