The New Murabba Stadium will have a capacity of more than 45,000. Its design replicates the layered overlapping planes and peeling planar texture of the bark of the native acacia tree. The stadium will integrate the latest sporting venue technology, creating an exceptional, personalized fan experience. Digital signage and activation will create fully customizable, experiential zones. The stadium will be located in northwest Riyadh and will be fully accessible and welcoming to the surrounding community, with illuminated fractures acting as entry points, drawing people into the shaded spaces at ground level. The roof surfaces create protected spaces for people to meet and circulate.
After the FIFA World Cup 2034™, the stadium’s design will maximize its longerterm usability with spaces that can adapt and evolve to host concerts, gaming, and other entertainment events. In addition, external shaded spaces will encourage vibrant city life, with opportunities for outdoor seating and dining outlets.
