Getting to Juventus Stadium by Metro: A Fan’s Guide from Turin City Centre

Allianz Stadium Matchday

Visiting the Allianz Stadium in Turin, home of Juventus, is a highlight for football fans from around the world. While buses and trams serve the area, many supporters prefer the convenience of Turin’s metro system. It is not as extensive as the networks in cities like Milan or Rome, but with some planning you can make your way from the city centre to the stadium with ease.

The Metro Network in Turin

Turin’s metro currently runs on a single line, known as Linea 1. It connects key areas of the city from Fermi in Collegno to Bengasi in the south. The line is fully automated and fast, with trains running every few minutes during peak hours. While the metro does not stop directly outside the stadium, it gets you close enough to connect with a bus or tram for the final stretch.

Nearest Metro Stop to Juventus Stadium

The closest metro stop for reaching the Allianz Stadium is Bernini. From here, you will need to continue your journey by bus. The number 62 bus is the most direct option and takes you towards the Continassa area where the stadium is located. The ride usually takes around 15 to 20 minutes, depending on traffic.

Step-by-Step Route from the City Centre

  1. Board the metro at Porta Nuova or Porta Susa, both central hubs that connect with trains arriving from across Italy.
  2. Travel towards Fermi and get off at Bernini station.
  3. Exit the station and take the 62 bus in the direction of Stadio.
  4. The bus will drop you a short walk from the Allianz Stadium entrance.

Alternative Connections

If you prefer trams, you can also combine the metro with tram line 9, which runs towards the stadium area. This option may take slightly longer but is often less crowded on matchdays when buses are packed with fans.

Taxis and rideshares are another fallback, especially if you are travelling in a group, though they will cost more than a metro and bus ticket combined.

Tips for Matchday Travel

  • Allow extra time, as buses heading to the stadium fill quickly before kick-off.
  • Buy your metro and bus tickets in advance from vending machines or tabacchi shops to avoid queues.
  • After the match, expect crowds and slower connections. Many fans walk part of the way back to Bernini before rejoining the metro.

TFC Takeaway

Reaching the Allianz Stadium by metro is straightforward if you know the route. While the metro does not take you directly to the gates, combining it with a short bus ride makes for a reliable and affordable journey. Plan ahead, grab your tickets early, and enjoy the atmosphere as you head to watch Juventus in their iconic home.
