How to Get to Lambeau Field: Parking, Shuttles and Walking Routes

Matt Tait July 10, 2025 3 minutes read
Lambeau Field

Lambeau Field in Green Bay, Wisconsin, is one of the most iconic stadiums in American sport. Home to the Green Bay Packers, it draws fans from all over the country. Whether you are heading there for the first time or returning for another game day, knowing how to get there and what to expect can save you time and frustration.

Driving and Parking Near Lambeau Field

Stadium Parking Lots
Official Lambeau Field parking is available but limited. Most on-site parking is reserved for season ticket holders. A small number of cash parking spots are released on a first-come, first-served basis in Lot 10 off Ridge Road. These go quickly, so arriving early is essential.

Private Parking
Nearby businesses, churches, and homes open their lots and driveways for parking, especially on game days. Expect to pay anywhere from $20 to $50 depending on proximity to the stadium. Many of these spots are along Oneida Street, Lombardi Avenue, and surrounding areas. While unregulated, this form of parking is a longstanding Green Bay tradition.

Accessible Parking
Designated ADA parking spaces are available in the official Lambeau Field lots, but they require both a valid state-issued disabled permit and a reservation. A complimentary shuttle service also helps fans with mobility needs get from accessible parking to the stadium gates.

Park-and-Ride and Shuttle Options

Green Bay Metro Game Day Shuttles
The city runs the “Green Bay Metro Game Day Routes” from various locations around the metro area. These include pickup points at major hotels, malls, and park-and-ride lots. The shuttles run continuously before, during, and after the game and are free to use. Popular routes include:

  • The Cheesehead Route (from downtown Green Bay)
  • The Lambeau Leap Route (from Ashwaubenon)
  • The QB Sneak Route (from east-side locations)

You can find route maps and schedules on the Green Bay Metro website. Most fans find these shuttles reliable and hassle-free.

Hotel and Bar Shuttles
Many local hotels and sports bars offer their own shuttles to Lambeau Field. These are usually reserved for customers and often include return trips after the game. If you are staying overnight, check with your hotel in advance.

Walking Routes to the Stadium

From Nearby Neighbourhoods
If you park within a mile of Lambeau Field, walking is often the most efficient way in and out. The streets surrounding the stadium are walkable, and the atmosphere on game day is electric, with tailgaters, music, and fans lining the routes.

Tailgate Zone Access
One of the most popular approaches is from Lombardi Avenue, which offers direct access to the Johnsonville Tailgate Village and the main stadium gates. Another well-used entrance is along Oneida Street, especially for fans coming from the south or from hotels in the area.

Final Tips

  • Arrive Early: Traffic builds up quickly within a two-hour window before kick-off.
  • Know Your Gate: Lambeau Field is large and walking around it can take time. Check your ticket and head for the correct gate from the start.
  • Plan Your Exit: Post-game traffic can be slow, especially for drivers. If using a shuttle, return to your pickup point promptly to avoid delays.

Whether you’re arriving by car, shuttle or on foot, navigating your way to Lambeau Field is part of the experience. With a little planning, you can focus on the game and the atmosphere instead of the logistics.
