The stadium is named after Sukarno, the former president of Indonesia, who sparked the idea of building the sports complex. Located in Jakarta, the stadium opened on 13 April 2022 and has a capacity of 82,000. It is the home of Persija Jakarta and the occasional home of the Indonesia national football team. It has a retractable roof and is the second-largest retractable-roof stadium by capacity in the world.
