With a capacity of 68,752, the King Fahd Stadium is the largest stadium in Saudi Arabia. Nicknamed “Pearl of Stadiums” or simply “the Pearl”, the stadium is located in Riyadh. It opened in 1987 and is named after the former king Fahd bin Abdulaziz Al Saud. It is used mostly for football matches as the home of the Saudi Arabia national football team, and it also has athletics facilities. It is also the home ground of Al Hilal SFC and Al Shabab FC.
